  1. Was recently fit into T100S with AMT White S300 shafts. When I did my SM8 fitting back in 2020 the fitter kept the shaft consistent with my irons at the time—KBS Tour V 110 S. Should I pull the 110's out of my SM8s and put in AMT or DG S300s to match the new sticks or will it not really make that much of a difference?

Wedges are a preference issue separate from your irons. The shots you hit with them are different with far fewer full swings. If you like the way your wedges play, you can certainly stick with them.

Another school of thought is to play your wedges in a flex softer than your irons since you won't be making the same full swings in the wedges. My Titleist fitter put me in Project X 6.5 iron shafts years ago with Poject X 6.0 shafts in my Vokey wedges. I've loved the way the wedges played. But again, that is a preference thing.

My fitter set me up in stiff shafts for my irons but regular shaft for my Vokeys.....did you go to a Titleist certified fitter......my new set of irons (T300's) have regular shafts and when I order my new SM9s and shafts will order them according to what is recommended, most likely not the same shaft as my irons.....

Don't over-think it. You're probably going to get new wedges when the SM9 comes available.
  5. Barry's comment made me lol at the office...I'll try to resist but you may be right.

I did get fit at a Titleist Tuesday for the wedges...just matched them to my current shafts at the time. I'll probably just ride them out and not 'overthink' it and see what happens when it's time to refresh the wedges!

I was always fit into the same shaft, irons and wedges. This is what I mean about fitters, they all have their own beliefs about golf clubs. No two seem to be the same.

Personally, I think it depends on your game and how you use your wedges. For me, since I use my GW 95% of the time for a full or 3/4 swing shot, I want it to feel the same as my PW shaft does. However, for my SW and LW (which I use for pitches and chips 95% of the time) I have been playing the same model S200 shafts for over 12 years, throughout all my models from the 2009 version to SM8. I have no interest in changing how they feel on all my touch shots, so I stick with the S200 in those and expect I will do so with the SM9s, too. Why fix something that ain't broken?

I carry four wedges and I play the same brand shafts and I play the same shaft (DYNAMIC GOLD TOUR ISSUE X100) in my Pitching Wedge since I hit more full shots with it but with a softer flex in Gap through Lob wedge (DYNAMIC GOLD TOUR ISSUE S400).
