• RE: Titleist AP1 irons

    Richard,
You didn't say what shafts you had in you previous irons. If they were steel then you lost a lot of shaft weight going to graphite. I'm planning on getting new 716 AP1s with the 65 gram KK graphite shaft. They will replace 714s with XP95 steel…
  • RE: Fitting for Vokey Wedges 54 and 58 degree

    it is odd that you got suggested a 54 and a 58. logic would say it should be 54 and 60 for a 47 - 54 - 60 set.

    or, you can do 52 - 56 - 60 with the 47.

the vokeys are very nice but, keep in mind that the AP1 wedges should be more forgiving.
  • RE: Average time on club fitting

IF all of the components are in stock, it usually takes 5-7 days to get your clubs built. Then the shipping time adds to that. Expect another 5-7 days for the shipping to you from California.

  • RE: 917 D2

LOL - must be the flu. I still have over 6 inches of snow cover. I was fit last fall on the Pro-V1x (now prior generation). Still haven't had a chance to use it with the new Pro-V1, so I may adjust the loft one setting. Not expecting a real chance…
  • RE: S300 0.5 inch longer replacement shafts

Not sure I understand fully. But anytime a shaft is played longer it should add a couple swing weight points making it a bit heavier (swing weight wise), and could possible make an iron shaft play a minscule softer (but basically neglible)
  • RE: Putters - the right one

Best advice right up front. Get fitted by a Golf Pro. Try different clubs and what you like, how it looks and how it feels in your hand. You want confidence when you putt.
  • RE: Fubuki J

Counterbalance has weight added in butt to increase the load or kick for some players maybe ball speed too. if you had a 917 you could buy heavier weight inserts but it really depends on your swing / feel
  • RE: 3 way divider golf bag

Not me, I like having dividers for each club. That way I can tell right away if a club is missing. Something I worry about.
