I leave 9 balls in their boxes and leave 3 free in my ball pouch.

I love the feel and sound of taking a new ball out of a Titleist box. It's one of the great, pure joys of golf. I put a few new sleeves in my bag as I see fit. Snap open the vacuum seal of the box, taking out one at a time. I prepare them in advance with my personal markings, then have at it. I love Titleist PROV1 balls. Brand new. In the box. I love them!

I typically open up the dozen and mark all the balls, then dump them into the bag. Last year I used a push cart, this season I'm going to try to start carrying again, purchased Titleist LW stand bag, may consider sleeve at a time and keep a few (3) used loose balls in the bag to reduce some weight.

I also take the dozen, mark them, and put them into the sleeves so that I have different numbers in the sleeve. Never have to worry about identifying the original vs. the provisional ball on tight courses. Usually, I will have a sleeve with 5-6-7, another with 8-5-6, etc., and ensure that I have 2 fresh sleeves in the bag when I begin a round (plus whatever used stuff didn't get cleared out into the practice bag).

I put a dozen in my bag. Pull one sleeve when I play. If those balls are mark free and just need to have my markings redone I'll leave them in the bag. I don't pull a new sleeve until I only have one ball in my bag, that way I have a provisional if needed.

    Kirkcaldy,

I usually have 2 sleeves in the bag and just take one from a sleeve as i need it. Like a lot of people I mark mine up when they arrive and then replace them in the sleeves

I tend to have 2 sleeves plus a few older ones in the bag. Normally a max of ten especially if carrying. If I am using my electric trolley then my cart bag tends to have a few more in it.

Having a fresh sleeve in the bag along with a 3 or 4 lose balls adds as preparation.

But long before the Loyalty Program, I've taken a dozen out of the sleeves and then refill it with different numbers in each sleeve. Playing a provisional ball wouldn't be so confusing if I had to..... it's been a long time since.

one sleeve at a time and return the balls to the sleeve after the round......my ProV1xs take care of me, so I take care of them!

When I buy a box, I like to carefully mark each ball and keep it in it's sleeve. On one particularly difficult course I ran out of balls and had to forage for used balls in the weeds so I could finish. I like to carry the entire box with balls in sleeves in my bag with one in my pocket, 2 in the golf cart ball holder and the rest in the bag.

Two sleeves unopened and three players with three black dots (Carry one of those three in each pocket).
  13. I add balls one sleeve at a time. Starting with the 3s, not sure why.

I'll add 2 sleeves to 4 or 5 loose balls in my bag. I play different numbers 1-4 so I try to keep a few of each in bag. The rest are on a shelf at the house waiting their turn to go play.
  16. First thing I do is take them all out of the sleeves and mix them up. I walk/carry and I don't want the weight of more than about 5-6 balls in the bag. That said, if I have to hit a provisional I like to know it's a different number that my first ball. So, I mix them up and whatever sleeves are in the ball pocket will never be all the same number.

I have 6 in the bag and 3 sleeves in my back panel. Put 3 as I need them.

I put 3 sleeves in the ball pkt, and then pull out 1 ball at a time from the sleeve. The only loose balls in the pocket are the scuffed ones or pro v's that are found.
