  4. How do I get on the Protype list for the next go round?
  5. How come I am not part of the test team I am in Minnetonka I play Ap1, the new Titleist driver and AVX ball. Jeff Finn
  6. Shoot I was supposed to be a the demo group. My golf balls didn’t show up smh ‍♂️
  7. Tried mine out last night. Played nine as it was later in the evening and it’s starting to get cooler about 55 degrees in MI. The ball performed very well in these conditions. Good distance off the tee and very responsive around the greens.

I liked the ball and the best part is I didn’t lose any! One of my better mines this year.

Have you compared it (if) to TM TP5/TP5x? My friend game me TP5x as a Xmas gift and I started using them since last winter (I was a ProV1X guy for long time). Boy, they had a right softness with 10+ yards longer. So I am currently using TM TP5x, but I wonder if new 2019 Titleist ProV1x (or ProV1) is comparable to TM balls. I have not received 2018 test/proto balls from Titleist, but I'd love to compare them. If anyone who have tried them, I appreciate it for your feedback = no kissing anyone's ass = honest opinions. Please.

PS...I tried cally Chrome Soft (not Chrome Soft X), and I didn't like them.Felt too soft and won't go as far as TM. Spins ok.
  9. Hey Abby! What is the process for getting on the list of potential reviewers for the 2019 Prototypes? I currently play the PROV1x

    Thanks.
  10. I was pleasantly surprised to have a sleeve of the #2019Proto Black arrive at my house on October 2nd. The following day I went out and played a quick 9 holes to see hoe they felt.

Off the tee: I really like the ball flight I got with the the 2019 Proto's. I tend to hit lower line drive tee shots and I did notice a bit more lift which helped add a couple yards of distance on a few of my drives. The ball definitely comes off the face hot as Abby said.

Long irons/fairway metals: They felt really good with my irons. Good ball control and didn't have too much roll on the greens which I typically get. I'm no pro so I often have difficulty getting enough spin to control my ball well. I noticed slight improvement here.

Short game: I had a couple shots within 20 yards and I liked how the balls reacted once getting to the green. I've been trying to improve my flop shots as opposed to pitches to control where the ball ends up better. The ball did well with the high arch shots.

Putting: Also felt good with my putter, was able to get roll quickly to control my line which is always important for me since I usually putt through the hole often.

Played the Red. Distance and control are much better than last year. Hits the greens very softly.
Drop & Stop technology is great. I really liked how I get a crisp click off my irons. My drives are probably 15 - 20 yards further. My playing partners we're really impressed, as was I. Hope this was beneficial.

  13. I received a sleeve of the black prototype and couldn’t wait to try them. I’ve been alternating between prov1 and chromesoft(free dozen) recently and these balls rocked my world (sounds wrong). I felt I was getting additional distance off the tee but yet had great feel and spin around the green. I really enjoyed the round and gifted one to a friend who solely plays chromesoft. I’m waiting for him to share his thoughts. Thanks Titlest for the opportunity and a great golf ball

First, my thanks to Team Titleist. I received my sleeve of Titleist 2019 (Black) Protos.

As in the past, I always test golf balls by starting with putting, short game, short irons , long irons, and woods/Driver.

Today, I took my sleeve to the putting green. All three balls performed similarly. Very soft of the face, I used my custom 009, with excellent distance control and feedback.

I putted 10 times each at distances of 5, 15, 25, and 50 feet. I currently use the 2018 Pro V1 and I comparison this Prototype feels a bit softer.

Next stop, chipping and pitching around the greens out to 40 yards.
  17. I found that I could work the ball left or right, I was also able to back the ball up easier and it seemed to fly higher.
The cover appears softer than current Pro- V's
  18. When are you going to send me some balls to try??
  19. Thanks Abby,

Looking forward to the new balls.

Have a question about last years--we tried triangle and square marked balls for play in the rain.
Are you at liberty to say which ball in the current Titleist line these were and/or recommend a "rain" ball?

Being in the Pacific Northwest I play in the rain a lot.

  20. Played the new ball today, seem to go straighter and with more distance. Soft feel around the greens and putting
