  1. I have played two rounds with this ball. It is very solid. I normally play PRO V1x. Has a softer feel than V1x. Not as soft as AVX. Spin is good with wedges. More than AVX a little less than V1x. Putting feel is great. Only complaint was the cover doesn't seem as durable as V1x.
  2. Great ball love playing them. They have great feel and distances off the big clubs.

Awesome ball...reminded me of the NXT Tour but better. Played a round with it and shot a 76, which is my best round ever. Was also using new SM7s with KBS Hi Rev 2.0 shafts and not a nick on the ball! Ball performed flawlessly! If you haven't tried them you should!

The EXP-01 balls arrived and was finally able to put into play yesterday. I've used the AVX ball since last March and the EXP launches higher off of the driver and looks very similar launch from the fairway. The EXP on iron shots seems to stop very similar to the ProV1.V1x with little runout. Short pitches were predictable and seemed to have more spin than the same shots with the AVX. Putting was about the same speed as the AVX. In all, Titleist has a "winner" and I'm looking forward to seeing further revisions and productiuon of the EXP ball.

OK, just finished 18 holes with this ball and I hope Titleist brings this ball to market. It was fantastic. I’ll start with feel. It’s was soft but not mushy at all. I’d say it compares to the AVX but better.

Driver: Just as long as the AVX but with a higher ball flight. I would say the ball flight was right in line with the Pro v1. Definitely low spin. The ball just wants to go straight.

Fairway wood and hybrid: again just as long as the AVX but with a higher ball flight. Almost identical trajectory to the Pro v1.

Irons: distance was right in line with the AVX. Ball flight maybe a touch higher but not much. The feel off of the irons was amazing and the spin was the perfect amount for me.

Wedges: the ball really shines here. Executional feel with noticeably more spin that the AVX. I would say not as much as the Pro v1 but pretty darn close.

Putter: fantastic feel. It reminded me of the Titleist Professional from years ago.

Bottom line: Try this ball! It also had great durability as well. I will be buying more to stock up. This is my new gamer. It knocked the AVX out of the bag.

I was fitted for pro v 1 but I love this new expo. Just played 18 holes with it in a tournament and we won and the ball felt solid off the tee, went farther and was receptive on greens. I will definitely buy this ball 111

Have played this ball for a couple weeks
Flies a little higher than Pro VI or AVX and love the feel and distance
  7. likewise i'm waiting for a chance to try them ! Not much play here in chicago.
  8. I bought a dozen of these yesterday and put them in play. I am a Titleist guy, woods, irons, putter and currently play the ProV1x. I am a 6 handicap, and I love this new ball. This ball is very soft compared to the ProV1x, as I putted with both before my round. I didn't notice any difference in ball, flight, distance, or spin around the green. I did notice the softness, off the putter, and chip shots. The playability was outstanding, and I will hurry back to my proshop, for another dozen tomorrow. I was told by my club pro that it was supposed to compare to the cally Soft. I have never played that ball, but I like this one. Great job, to R&D, as this ball works well for me, and I will continue to play this ball in the future.
  9. Played the EXP 01 for the first time this weekend. Absolutely love everything about this ball. From tee to green it performed just as my instructor said it would. This is the perfect ball for my game!! Please put this bad boy into production. I’ll be stocking up on these why they are out just Incase they disappear.

Played 6 holes Saturday with a ProV1, 6 with a V1X and 6 with the EXP and the EXP will be a winner. The EXP is softer than the V1X and similar to the V1. My trajectory was between the V1x and the V1 with almost every club. Full shots with short irons flew more like the V1X, high and true. Feel around the greens was very good. Again, my experience was that the short game spin was between the V1 and the V1X. My best experience was putting. I wonder if this experimental polyurethane cover is denser than what is the current formulation. The EXP reminded me of the very early swoosh balls that obviously had a very high moment of inertia and rolled true and like a laser. The EXP did that for me.

Played the next day and used the EXP for 12 holes and the V1X (my current fall) on the other 6. The EXP performed as it did the previous day and I am planning to put more in the bag starting this week. BTW, this was 36 holes at The Olympic Club, where putting is anything but simple.
  11. I just finished my first round with the EXP-01 and shot the lowest round ever by 5 strokes. This ball plays like the AVX with better control around the green. My one gripe is the lettering and arrow. I don't like to put a line on the ball. I prefer to use what is already printed but that setup on it is too big. It needs to be tighter less half arrow. missed a few putts within 4-5 ft that were just lined up wrong.

I’ve really enjoyed playing with this ball. Normally a Pro V1X guy, but I feel like this ball is getting a little more distance, and it’s staying straighter.

Probably losing a bit of spin on short irons, but I’ll gladly give some of that up to hit it straighter and a tad further.Still feels really good around the greens.

I’m going to buy a few dozen and hope they get put into production.
  14. Bought a sleeve, tried them for one round, didn't work for me. No longer or straighter or better in any way than my usual Pro V1x. Definitely lower trajectory especially with driver which I don't particularly like.

But its lack of spin on approach shots is a complete no-go for me. Short and mid irons simply release too much to be a usable ball for me on firm greens. Much less stopping power than Pro V1x and maybe even less than AVX.

The only advantage I can see is EXP-01 sells for a few dollars less than Pro V1x. Not worth it. Having to allow to excess release and runout on every iron shot just makes the game too difficult. I'm sticking with Pro V1x.

P.S. It also felt or sounded a little unusual with the putter when I was warming up on the practice green but once I got used to that after rolling a few long putts it putted fine.
  15. Exactly the same experience, I too will stick with ProvX
  16. great ball, hope they bring it to market Flys very straight with good spin on chips and short pitches. Like a prov1 with a surlyn cover
  17. This ball is incredible. I’ve had a hard time through the years of finding the right balance. The TP5 was great for distance but had ooor green side performance. It’s was difficult to put on greens that were rolling 12 or more. Ive played the Bridgestone, which it was missing something. Distance! This ball may be the perfect ball. With tiptoe anticipation, I hope they sell this ball!
  18. Found these two balls today... I have not kept up with the discussions, sorry. Could someone tell me what I’ve found in comparison to the ProV1 or ProV1X Thanks

  19. I’ve tried the new EXP-01 balls and I was surprised. Without the use of a launch monitor, I would say the following: they definitely feel soft, spin enough around the greens, and have same distance as my current gamer, the “X”. I also thought it to be fairly straight. I don’t believe they spin as much as the x as determined by my pitch marks in relation to where the ball ends up. But I bought another dozen and plan on gaming them in upcoming tournaments.

For reference I have a mid 90’s clubhead speed and am a 7 handicap.
  20. I tried the exp for a few rounds. It replaced prov1 and snell out

Length wise pleased but near greens over time it seemed to cost me stokes. Would not stick to greens as I liked so I gave it up. I would land on and end up off or chip on and run out too much.

Switched to z star and that is staying on green most consistently. Pro v1 is alternate but more expensive.

I found one of these balls at a course in FL where I play al winter. I like the AVX better. These xp01 are too soft for me. Maybe they are better in cold weather?
