I saw the new Titleist CNCPT irons on GolfWRX and they look AMAZING! Anyone know anything about them?

I read there will be two versions.and they will be two clubs longer. A muscle back and a more offset model, at $500 per club?
  3. Yes, I have seen them in person and should not disappoint for those that have deep wallets. They are gorgeous and look like a TMB or AP2 at address.

  6. Ok, I finally had my fitting for the new CNCPT irons yesterday at TPI in California. Both models DO Not disappoint! Amazing how long and straight these babies are! The model 01 (shown in pics) is slightly larger with a small amount offset compared to the 02 which is like the MB or TMB model like a players blade.

I felt both irons definitely go about 5-10 yards farther than my AP2’s (718 version). However they were straighter and inspired more confidence at address IMHO.

Yes, these are in very limited quantities so keep an eye out for these to be released soon ... I am confident they will sell quickly!

They look amazing. Are these two models close enough to play in a combo set? Do you know if they can be ordered as such?

They do not want people combining sets...they are meant to be one version only.

If a limited run option, will these be RH only, like Vokey and SC? Will they use the Titleist shaft matrix?

I did not see any LH however I did not ask, sorry. You can use any shaft Titleist offers!

    You got it!

The 01 model is the more giving of the two and the 02 model is the blade like option.

I can tell you this, they are the best irons I have ever hit in my life!

I find it interesting that Titleist isn’t following the “injected foam” trend used by three companies. My guess is that that foam reduces feel and sound feedback to the point where players don’t like it. Thoughts?

I personally hated the PXG 0311T. They were soft and lacked feel because of the fill. GHIN 2.4 and never felt like I hit the center of the club, have 718 MB and totally different experience!
  17. Never thought about injected foam...albeit Titleist is not usually a trend follower when it comes to construction of their equipment either.

Any updates on when these are releasing? Saw them a while back and want to try to get my hands on a set

Noting the price is around $500 each and they are not published as to availability, your local pro shop will probably have to have the local Titleist rep connect you with a set. At that price, it would be a good investment to arrange to go to TPI or Manchester to go for a full iron fitting to get them right the first time.
They're beautiful clubs, but the price would eat into my funds for something like the Vokey experience that may actually impact my handicap. Or at least keep me from blading a bunker shot into the iron mike testing range at TPI.
  21. I have the c2 in Left... amazing irons. Better than my PXG Gen 2 by far IMO.

  22. It seems, as time passes, that I’ve moved to Titleist products almost totally... the exception is a Cobra driver that I’ve had waaaay too long. The TS3 driver has my eye though, so I’ll test drive that in the spring. I went from PXG Gen 2 irons to the new Titleist CNCPT c2, I’ve also gone from cally wedges to Vokey (huge Improvement) and from a png Anser 4 to a Scotty Cameron Squareback that has been money for me. ProV1x balls are my go to year after year. I just love the feel of Titleist products. THAT is true across all lines of their stuff. They just always feel better...

  23. Nice set! So, since you've had these for a few weeks now, what's your feedback? Love that these are a LH option. I may have to take out a second mortgage to get these, but it's so tempting. :-)

    Enjoy!

got fitted for 01's today.., unbelievably I hit the 7 iron, on average, 13 yards further than my Gen 2's. they feel softer and I controlled the ball much better
  25. What are the loft specs on the 01's?
  26. Military
dunno, i did not get the spec sheet. I'll ask then to send it

verdict is in after 8 GHIN recorded rounds.., these clubs are long and forgiving. I'm a FULL club longer, and now hitting a 5 iron with consistency.., yesterday I flew a 9 iron over the green, 165 yards.., albeit wind aided but I would have hit a 7 iron with my old PXGs...

The improved length, in part, may be due to the strong lofts which appear to be one club stronger?
  30. Military
The difference I think is part club head, and part shaft.

PXG lofts were actually stronger on the 5 and 6 irons. Same loft on the 7 and 8 irons. Concept stronger on the 9 and PW.

The Concept club head is more forgiving, softer in sound, and seems to have more juice. I also think I got fitted with the wrong shaft with my old PXG irons.

All things being equal, I'm more confident over the ball with the Concepts because I know the ball will jump off the club head if my tempo is good.

  31. Just got my new set of cncpt cp01’s. Really nice looking. Question for the group. What is that black material on the back made from? Is it going to scratch off when clubs bump into it in my bag? I hate to have a nice sleek black rear of the head get all scratched up.. Is it a solid color, so scratches won’t show? Thoughts?
  32. Military
good question.., I'll ask my fitter, maybe you could ask yours
