When the golf bag is in my car trunk absolutely nothing else can share the trunk with them.
I also toss all the balls I have used after my round, no used balls in the bag

Wow, there are some cool quirks out there! I knew golfers were weird! LOL
Here are mine:
Oh and last but not least .... hop on my left foot, close my right eye and pray to the golfing gods ... All before the beginning of each round!
Great thread!
Hit'em straight fellas!

Not sure if this qualifies as a quirk or not, but I never remove my glove for putting. I think that a lot of people just copy the pros and follow their lead. I think that removing it to putt is a quirk. I realize that some think it increases their feel, but I don't find that to be the case. It might also stem from when I first started playing I thought that taking a glove on and off so much would somehow stretch it out faster and I couldn't afford to buy gloves that often.

Found ProV1s must wait one day before I put my blue circle mark on the numbers. It takes a day to get the last player's bad swing off the ball.
Always repair divots on the green or your putt won't drop.
Never add up the score until the round is over.
Putt out everything.
Quiet on the tee.
As we say here in Uruguay, tranquilo.

I have to clean my clubs and shoes before every round. I dont like anyone to hit my clubs. My pro v is always marked with 2 blue dots.

Great topic! I have a few odd quirks. I will not play golf balls with the number 2. When I buy a dozen ProV1s from my proshop, I immediately swap out the 2s. I like to start each round with a brand new ball, regardless of the condition of the other balls in my bag. I also really prefer to tee off last in my Saturday group even if I have the honor. It usually works well because my playing partners prefer to go first. I carry the exact same amount of tees in my pocket for every round, and I have certain ball markers I prefer to use. Of course, none of this really impacts anything. I love reading about other players' quirks. Good to know I'm not alone.

Great post! I hate it when someone tells me, "Great shot" when the ball hasn't even landed. Especially when you get to your ball to find that you are stuck behind a tree or in a bad lie.

I don't like fellow players telling me how great I am playing. When they say it I feel like I am due to mishit the ball off the tee. I just feel it.

Only natural tees. No white or any color.
Titleist script on the Pro V1X has to face up and face me when I putt.
When I take a cart, I drive. Bag on the left side at the back.
Keep a wet towel on the cart, wipe down club face after every shot.

I must have a damp towel with me at all times, every shot club head gets wiped .. on the green, ball gets cleaned when allowed. My buddies make fun of me since I am such a neat freak .. I say .. "a clean club is a happy club" !! Routines are very important in golf and this is one of mind. No surprise, I have others.

I may have a few myself! Two of my obvious ones are do not touch or pull out one of my clubs, take a practice swing and expect to test it out . The second is when other members of the group wander ahead and you are getting ready to hit and like others pointed out, although not in the direct line of aim, you know they are there. I also will only use Pro Slim tees in some color/with a logo and always in my left pocket. I always mark my ball with one black dot in the middle and surround it with 2 other pink dots around it to show my support for breast cancer. Ball has to have the dots facing me when teed up too!
Great topic post and love to see what other TT members are doing!

Hello Vurich, I play found balls all the time. As long as they have Titleist on them. I'm a supervisor for a county course in southern N.J. and find hundreds of balls a year. Why not use them? I give all the other balls to friends, family and to the high school teams that use the course. I really don't like people touching my clubs or bag either. I'm proud of my Titleist gear and you can look, but don't touch.
Play Well,

I would have to say that when putting I line the ball up with no lettering or logos visible when I am looking down at the golf ball...I look at an all white ball with no alignment because I feel that it gives me better focus on speed than direction..tends to work!! I will only use white tees and I bring sandpaper to keep the wedges grips extra tacky

For me, I always start the round with five tees in my right pocket. Other than that, I'll use the defense that any perceived quirk is really a part of my pre-round or pre-shot routine. :)
Great discussion!

Won't use colored or stamped tees. Won't hit found personalized or logo golf balls and give away 99% of balls I find (exception being a brand new ProV). Other than that, just tee it up and play the game.

If someone finds a ball that I have lost-i will not accept it back...BAD JU-JU..!!⛳️

If I find a Titilest ProV1 I hang on to it and use it. Depending on the condition of the ball!

My playing partners make fun of me since I always carry a towel to the green to clean off my ball before I putt. In addition, I am quite anal about cleaning off my clubs after each shot without fail. I look at some of my friends clubs and they look like they haven't been cleaned in years - that would drive me crazy!

I think my biggest quirk is that I don't like to have anything in my pockets except for my ball marker and divot repair tool. The only other things allowed are my glove (only when putting and even then not always) and my cellphone (but it has to go in my back pocket. I don't like it to be in my front pocket. Really not that much of a quirk probably. I'm a pretty easy going guy though as long as the pace of play is good.
