Great topic!! I guess my biggest issue is being paired with someone who doesn't have respect for the game or bad playing it etiquette. I'm not saying I know all the rules, but players who just play with respect for the game and the coarse of play.

Dr. K's top 5 Dislikes on the Golf Course.

5. Unraked foot prints in the bunkers at 8 am...

4. Starters telling me it's gonna be slow out there...once again at 8 am...

3. Poor players throwing golf clubs after hitting their 5th shot from the tee on a par 3...

2. Players standing on the green after putting out and counting half of their shots and recording par...one just off the tee...two back to the fairway...three in the bunker...4-5-6 out of the bunker over the green 7 chip on the green...two putt for a bogey...no I mean PAR.

1. My top dislike is slow play...just be ready to play your shot as fast as you can.
there are no rules in golf that state there shall not be more than one ball in the air on any given hole at any given time.

I don't dislike anything about golf. A slow round, unsolicited swing coach, or bad weather don't really bother me. I'm just happy to be on the links.
What bother's me is finishing a round and having several "when are you coming home" texts... The 19th hole is always a good one, and I hate to miss it.

Slow play without a doubt. Other things I don't like are golfers that throw clubs, cigarette butts thrown on the ground, not repairing divots, and golfers lacking respect for playing partners by stepping in putting lines or talking while others players are taking a shot.

Nothing bothers me, everyone playing that day has the same conditions. I may not like it but that is what makes this GAME so much fun. It changes all the time.

I would say that the thing I dislike the most is extremely hot weather. I am from an area where triple digit heat is regular during late spring through early fall, which is prime golf season. This makes it difficult to schedule tee times during the day when I won't feel like I'm melting.

I can't stand slow groups, slow greens, and greens that are freshly sanded.

Definitely slow play, along with the sunflower seed shells and cigarette butts!
What is with the butts, the course is not an ashtray!
Wind and rain, no to much bother. Makes for more creative shot making.
Played a solo round in an absolute down pour once and had a blast.

It isn't anything about the golf that I would dislike, but anything that would shorten the day on a course would be the worst thing for it.

Here in Phx playing music while on the course has become very popular. Destroys the peaceful serenity of early morning golf for me.

I would like to add another dislike. Just got off the course and the heat index was 115. When it is this hot golf is not fun.
