  1. This winter in Colorado is focused on 3 main things: becoming automatic from 5 feet with my new scotty, becoming automatic from around the green with the chips, and focusing on an inside out swing path with the driver to stop my dreaded slice.

    I’m using a 9 foot putting green for the putts, a net for chips in the basement, and then a few alignment sticks on warm days to go out and take full swings.

    I set up a miniature golf course in the man cave to work on distance and alignment. Have putting contests with the granddaughter. Had one of my putters cut down to five year old size.

    A Swing takeaway drills. Trying to get the Club steep on the way back and shallow on the way down.

  10. Need to start taking some strokes off my short game. My putter and I are going to become best friends this rainy offseason here in Portland! Lots of putts, working on the putting stroke, and shorts chips and bump and runs!!!

    Going to practice the lob wedge as long as the weather will permit. Foul weather drill will be completing my full turn on swing follow through (finish the swing!).

    Dusted off David Leadbetter's original book and using a variation of his "criss cross" drill with a club shaft behind my shoulders to work on improving use of my lower body in the transition.

    I’ll be practicing my chipping in the House with plastic balls. Really gives me a feel of how to control the clubface.

    Will be taking indoor lessons to learn how to hit a fade. Also hat would come in handy since I’ll be golfing in 30 degree weather.️
