Best time of the year to play. The colors and the changed lighting make it magical, particularly in late afternoon.

Bundle up and get out there!

That is gorgeous, I love fall golf, didn't get a chance to go out last week, trying again this weekend, apparently, my friends and playing partners think that 38 degrees, is too cold to tee off.

I'd tee off with you Elson, I tee'd off 2 sunday's ago in 34 degree weather. I also knew that it was going to get up to 55 by lunch.

I have a few friends in Minnesota who play on a Winter golf league, planning on getting a few Orange balls and go over sometime in January to join them for a round or two

Here is another one for you Elson! Yesterday afternoon, looking from behind the 16th green. An uphill (sometimes) reachable par 4. The tee box is down on the left. A bit chilly, snow in the higher elevations, but awesome golf!

Love fall ball in lowcountry of SC. Charleston in the fall means teeing off when the temperatures are in the high 50s to low 60s and finishing in the low to mid 70s. Still in shorts with a vest and the vest goes by the third or fourth hole. Awesome golf weather. We are bless in that we can play normally 365, with a few off for rain. Believe it or not it did snow here last year.

*** They are completely redoing our municipal course where I play in 2019, after the Womens US Open. Eliminating drainage issues so that course will not have to close due to rain and high tides. After 89 years, about time for a makeover, redo of some holes, traps, greens, new ponds, etc. We are excited. Should take about a year to complete. One nine at a time. They will be renting our course for parking for the Womens US Open, which will be played at the Country of Charleston, which is about two miles away. First established three 18 hole courses in Charleston: [Charleston Golf Society Est. 1786, played at Harlston Green in downtown Charleston. Moved charter to current CCC] Country Club of Charleston (1924), Charleston Yeamans Hall Golf Club (1925), and Charleston Municipal (1929). The muni gets a log of business from Kiawah Resort traffic. It is on the way there and is reasonably priced. Main issue, original greens and are slow, due to high traffic. Looking forward to makeover.
  9. What does this have to do with fall...if it was summer, the ball probably would have bounded over the back of the green. Good times!

Ran into the same problem. I live about 40 miles north of Charlotte and wanted to get some fall pictures to post but everything was still green. Went back the next weekend and those green leaves had already started to brown and fall off. Oh well, so much for that.

Here's a few from Sunday morning. Played at the Ledges in York, ME. Such a great place to play in the fall. However, I wish it wasn't raining so much. It's been so wet....

In NorCal we've been having really bad smokey haze due to the terrible Butte county fire. The smokey haze has been really dangerous to ones health and the first picture is of a mountain 4 miles from where I work. This past Saturday some friends and I golfed at Del Monte in Monterey and the air quality was so much better. The morning started out slightly foggy and then the sun came out.
There were many Cameron putters and here's 3 of them, a rare 029 Scoty Dale center shaft Proto, a Super Rat and then a 009M carbon.
