Had a previous gen Titleist driver and was able to gain over 20 years in carry distance (for me that is HUGE), validated with both a personalized Titleist fitter experience indoors on a sim (early March) and most recently this weekend outside at a Demo Days event with another Titleist fitter. I'd also like to give a personalized shout out to Seth Fair (Indianapolis, IN) for taking crazy amounts of time with me and unpacking the details to get me into the exact gear and specification to maximize performance. Can't emphasize enough the importance of personalized fittings with the numbers to support which option makes sense for you and your game!

Had my fitting today. Club speed increased from 80mph to 84mph and gained 13 yards total carry. Dispersion and forgiveness very similar to TSR1 but was easier to draw the ball with the GT. Kept the same Tensi Blue 55 gram R 1K shaft. Can't wait for delivery. Elected not to trade in TSR (trying to build second set of clubs)

I haven't found the GT2 that I recently picked up to have a profound performance distance, but it's definitely noticeably forgiving. Some balls I hit higher up near the toe typically end up being a dramatic fade/slice that was far less so. Short, so not the same distance but playable, where previous hits in the same area would result in more to the right. I bought my daughter a TSi1 to see if the lightweight helped with her tempo. She had been playing a Stealth 2 for a year and hitting it nicely, very straight but distance wasn't there. We swapped her to an A.I. Smoke and the distance increase was dramatic but she kept pushing the ball right. We tinkered with shafts and used the exact same shaft on both, so I can tell you that it was definitely the club. With the TSi1 being noticeably lighter, she can better control the driver. With a smooth tempo it matches the A.I Smoke for distance but her miss is now a slight hook to the left. Not sure which is worse lol Always a work in progress.

I switched from a TSR2 to a GT3. I love being able to set the weight for where the ball is hit most on the face. Slightly mis-hit balls still travel a long way. When you hit it just right, you don't even feel it coming off the face, and that is with a firm PROV1X. Even playing partners are wowwed at the distance well-struck golf balls travel. I love the GT3, and am so glad I made the switch.

It’s been almost 3 years since I got fit for a TSR-2. This year the driver just did not work - unintended decline linked to age. Moving to the GT-1, my fitter found a combination of settings and a different shaft Dispersion is now in the fairway and my push right has been eliminated. My driving average is up over 10 yards and my on the screws hits are 25 yards longer. Maybe a TSR-1 could have been equal, but is no longer an option. The improvement is so dramatic, I won’t even keep the TSR-2 as a backup.
