I prefer walking; it provides focus on your next shot. However, a lot of clubs in SFL allow walking early in the morning or late afternoon.

Love to walk in early morning. Just me and the wildlife.

  3. walking is really fun, imo.

just about everything that matters about golf: the pace, the enjoyment of the 3-4 hours you're out there, the peacefulness, the almost spiritual aspects of golf where it's just you, your mind, the ball, your clubs, and the course, it's tough to experience truly if youre just out on a cart scooting around everywhere looking to hit the next shot as fast as possible.
  4. Completely agree!

I walk frequently with an electric push cart (XGI)...its like taking a caddy and YES I tend to play more focused and score better as a result.

I have to admit that carts are no longer my preference.

    Cheers

I have a totally replaced right hip and a torn meniscus left knee. Walking is key for me to stay loose. I either use my push cart or my remote cybercart.
  6. 100% feel like I play better when I walk. Even while riding, I always try to walk as much as possible especially after bad holes or shots..helps with focus and clearing my head.

I feel most folks play better walking for already mentioned reasons. I know certainly did. But now with some feet issues, I always ride, but given the opportunity, I'll walk in after my approach shot to the green to stay loose.
  8. Walk all the way unless the course is unwalkable. I recently got a remote control MGI cart and it's a total game changer when walking. Also walking is faster then carts and keeps a great pace of play.

    Walking for the win!
  9. Im actually about to buy a push cart so I can start walking myself

I would like to start walking more but the majority of the courses around this area are very rider dominated and it makes it difficult to walk and enjoy the round. The only time to walk is mid-week early in the mornings and difficult to achieve with work. I love it, makes me feel more connected and focused but difficult to make happen a lot of the time.
  11. I love to walk but my game unfortunately demands a cart lol!! Once I can hit the fairways more consistently I will start walking
  12. I'll take my push cart and walk most courses, the only exception being mountain golf where there are huge elevation changes.
