I used to enjoy some walking years ago, but several surgeries have relegated me to the cart.
  2. 100% feel better walking. I get stiff in a cart.

I enjoy walking. I walk every Saturday or Sunday I play. I usually use a push cart but I was fortunate enough to have been given a Players 4 Carbon bag to test out which I used on Friday July 4th and shot my best 9 hole score in a while. I'm always in favor of walking but if it's a hilly course I may lean to riding.

I absolutely play better when I walk. I’m in a better frame of mind, much more relaxed and focused on each and every shot when I’m walking the course.
  7. I much prefer walking especially if it's on a course i haven't played before. Buggies are fun as well but i would only use if i am trying to get round a familiar course quicker.

Hmmm. Someone 100 yards out decided to hit in as we were leaving. Directly in their line of flight. Crazy, I guess. Hit me in the cart. Bounced off cart first. Thank goodness I was "not walking". No fore or sorry. 97* and 90% humidity. Thank good for carts and lots of ice water. Drove past me did not say a word. I let it go, but did affect my game last four holes. After all, we are a friendly tourist town. Will be riding in Ireland.

There's one course here where I think I play better walking compared to riding.
  10. Walking seems to shoot my best but riding when you don't have much time to play

I walk 99% of the time - the only exception is if I play a quick 9 at twilight. I play better, feel better and enjoy spending time with the entire foursome as well as the caddies.

I love walking but when the heat rises above 100 here in Texas, it's time to ride! I have been walking more and more though and totally enjoy the walk. I think it helps you cool down after a bad shot and reset, and it puts a bounce in your step when you hit a great shot! It helps you see the course, see the different views, and really enjoy a round of golf. I prefer walking... except above 100 degrees!!!

Prefer to walk but there are only two courses near me that I can access where it is realistic. Most of the other courses are so spread out through neighborhoods that you'd add probably a few more miles if you walked. I'm looking forward to Sand Valley and walking the courses there. I think, as others do, that walking brings a different feel and a better connection to the game.
