Tough question. I've always thought that if I could only play one course again for the rest of my life I would choose The Queen's at Gleneagles.

Of the courses I’ve played the Fidra at Archerfield, from the welcome all the way through to the practice areas the changing rooms, clubhouse and shop can’t be beaten and the half way pint ooooft............ simply amazing.
  4. I have managed to play a lot of the courses people have mentioned but I would have to say Turnberry. To me it just stands that little above the rest
  5. Carnoustie is special , my home club Woodbridge is also stunning!!!

Living in SW17 and having easy access to the wealth of courses throughout Surrey, I’m a little spoilt for choice. Rather than stick to one, I’m listing my top 10 and that’s been tough enough to do!
    So, in no particular order:
Woburn - played all the courses there and they have always been immaculate.
Hindhead - simply stunning, especially the front 9, which has one of the best par 3s ever!
Hankley Common - a superb heathland course.
Royal St George’s - my favourite Open venue.
St Andrews - You simply have to play the Old. We did it a week before the Women’s Open in 2007 and played with Teresa Lu...
Huntercombe - I play here every year with work. The fairways are sublime and Red Kites soar above...
The Berkshire - Again an annual pilgrimage, where we play both courses and enjoy their legendary buffet lunch. The 1st on the Blue after the food is a challenge...
Wentworth East - Playing any of the courses at Wentworth is always a delight, but the East is special as my son had his first professional top 10 here.
St Annes Old - a lovely, underrated links, where the hospitality just added to the experience!
Royal Lytham - beautiful condition, amazing lunch, spectacular weather. Great day out!

Kingsbarns and Trump Aberdeen are definitely 2 of my most favourite. I've been lucky to play St Andrews Old Course a few times and that's always special, although not the best golf course

In terms of a golf resort, i would happily play either of the courses at Gleneagles for the rest of my life

I’m not very well travelled golf wise but have been lucky enough to play:

    Royal Lytham & St Anne’s - 3 times I think, was a while ago
    Celtic Manor 2010
Turnberry - once before the reconfiguration and once after

    Turnberry wins for me. Stunning

Kingsbarns or trump Aberdeen definitely my two favourites.

  11. My home course, Meldrum House
  12. leslie h

    leslie h
    maidenhead, berkshire

Apart from my home course of Badgemore Park, Henley on Thames - I'd put votes in for Trevose and St. Enedoc. Both great seaside courses

Can't pick just one, but I do have a few that I enjoy playing:

    Kingbarns
    Carnoustie
    Gleneagles
    Turnberry Alsia
    Royal Troon (both 18s)

I could play the Championship Couse @ Royal Troon every day for the rest of my life!
  14. I have not been lucky enough to play many of the Top 100 courses in UK....yet....but personal favourites so far....
    - The Old Course
    - Royal Lytham
    - Gleneagles Kings
    - St Georges Hill
  15. Wow just unbelievable courses you guys have played.

I was lucky enough to be invited to play the Forest of Arden. Beautiful course and it has the added bonus of having the back nine go through a deer reservation.

Cavendish has a fantastic layout and makes for a great round of golf.
