  1. Got my sleeve of Optic Yellow Test balls last week. Very good performance, though felt firmer than my usual cally Chrome Soft. Felt very similar to an NXT. Looking forward to finding out what model it is. I would play it again.
  2. Thank you for the yellow test golf balls. I am an average senior golfer who does not hit the golf ball as far as I used to. The prototype golf ball you sent me compares equally with the golf ball I use most often, the NXT Tour S high optic yellow. I compared them side by side. However, during 2 rounds of golf using both golf balls, I did notice something different. I did not hit any sand traps nor lose your prototype. Still using the same prototype. Now THAT is saying something. If you can design a golf ball that avoids sand traps and water, you have a winner.
  3. I was lucky enough to be chosen to evaluate the test ball. I found it to be 10 yards longer on drives and long iron shots. I play the NXT S and found the test ball to have less workability when attempting to draw or fade it. My evaluation was somewhat skewed by high 50 to low 60 degree fall weather here in central Illinois.

Just played two rounds with my test sleeve. I got the optic yellow...looks similar to the ball in the pictured post. Absolutely loved the balls I received. As I shared in the survey...probably the softest ball I have ever played. Older player here but great feel and alittle extra distance. The first time I really turned on the ball with the driver I literally said " WOW".... Completely sold...I need acouple dozen of the balls I played...At least I need to know what type they were, so if they go into production I can purchase and enjoy!

played them last week in cold and windy fall conditions. The ball jumped off the club face and really pierced through the wind. Very surprised with the way it preformed into the wind and down wind. My driver was longer than the others in my group and I hit maybe the best long iron approach shots of the year. at times, I struggled to flight the ball down and get it to stop with my wedges. All in all, after adjusting to its different ball flight, I want to play this ball.

Thank You Titleist for selecting me to test the prototype ball. I always look forward to doing that! Hope I am informed as to which ball I tested, as I really liked it. I was sent a green/yellow ball! Id buy the ball now if I could!

Played a round Sunday with the new test ball. The course was busy so there was no side by side NXT ball comparison but I liked these balls. It could be it was just one of those rounds but the ball was long off the tee including a couple of off center hits and performed well (long and straight) with hybrid, irons and Wedges. If this round was a true indicator these balls would be in my bag.

Got a sleeve last week and played 18 holes this weekend. The first thing I noticed was how soft the ball was. A little too soft feeling for me. Also, it didn't look like a urethane cover. Otherwise it performed well on full shots, good distance, and ball flight. My regular ball is a TM(a). I prefer that ball on 100 yard and in shots. Felt like I could control the TM a little better. I'm guessing this ball might be in the NXT family.

I played the proto for 36 holes , 2 different days and only lost one off the fairway in the leaves, liked the better distance all around and found i played better than most days. Found it was longer by 1/2 to 1 full club, and feel was great. Couldnt really be sure it it was harder or softer that the nxt tour s, i usually play. I was able to compare both balls on most all the holes since it was playing slow and we had no problem keeping up. Like doing comparisons on days like that.

It was cool and the ball still seemed to have life. Better roll and truer flight.
  11. Loved everything about this ball. I was hesitant to play these balls this last weekend because I was playing a super narrow course. I found this ball to fly straighter with all my clubs and further with very little side spin that I get from the Pro V1x. Love this ball hopefully we get the name of these calls so I can purchase them if they ever get released to the public.

The most recent sleeve which I just received last Friday was played Yesterday. Awsome feel, straight flight, and at least 5 to 8 yds longer than the NXT tour S. Comes off the putter so nice that instills confidence rolling a couple of 20 footers with ease. Great feel with mid irons as well as wedge and 9 iron without loosing distance. Wish I could buy a dozen right away!
  13. I received a sleeve. Balls are great. Almost holed out today with my 2 hybrid. More distance off the tee than both the ProV and TP5. Feel free to send me a dozen.

  14. I recently received a sleeve of prototype balls in the mail and used them in yesterday's round. Absolutely loved the ball and I hope to find out what it was. The ball played long but had great feel around the greens.

  15. Received mine some time last week (white w/Black 1). Played with them on Saturday along side a cally Chrome Soft X. Titleist felt much softer on approach shots, chip/pitches and putts. Seemed a little more durable than most Pro V's I've played with. Very much liked the ball this go round! Love opening the mailbox and seeing that plain white sleeve. Like a little kid waking up on Christmas morning!
  16. I received my sleeve of test balls on Halloween. It was a nice treat to come home from work and find a tiny package from Acushnet. Upon opening them up, I noticed the font was identical to the NXT Tour. After putting around the house and playing 2 rounds with them, the balls felt really soft, so I figured they were NXT Tour S. The test balls performed similar to NXT Tour S balls that I have used in the past. I still prefer to use either the Tour Preferred X/ProV1x/TP5x that I have been playing in that order.

I am attaching the Foresight results from some testing I did vs the TP5x.

Got the test balls last week and played three rounds so far. I usually use nxt tour and pro V1 and compared the test ball to these and the test ball i felt i had more control and feel. On my drives and hybrids the test ball just popped off the club. Great ball. (let me know if you release it)
  18. I have played for the past few days with the prototype balls and I think they are great. I typically use the NXT Tour S and thought they would be similar. But, I found the prototype softer. The ball felt both lighter and softer off my clubs. I felt the difference the most with my putter. I would definitely buy this ball.

This is the 4th year I've received prototype balls from Titleist, and these seem to be the best I've tested. Can't tell if it's a ProV1, but whatever it is, I'm switching if the ball is released into the market.

I got a sleeve of white "test balls" about a week ago. I live in Florida so we are one of the states where the new EVX ball has been released. I bought a dozen of the EVX last week also. I think the test ball and the new EVX are exactly the same.
