I received my prototype balls and played them several times and tested them against my NXT Tour ball. I felt the prototype ball was longer better around the greens but felt a little firmer than my NXT Tour ball. The prototype ball seemed to be more consistent and easier the get the ball the distance you needed from fairway to green. I would play the prototype ball more often over my NXT tour ball.Thank you Titleist for allowing me to test your golf balls.

Played the white #1 prototype ball this morning and thought the ball felt similar to the NXT Tour. Felt great off the drive and irons, didn't seem to spin as much off the short irons and wedges. As always thank you Titleist for letting us voice our opinions on the new equipment. #teamtitleist

Played with them today. My usual ball is either prov1 or chrome soft truvis.

These must be a slightly softer velocity or DT. They are definitely a harder distance type ball. Not as much spin around the green as I was hoping for.

    Durability was excellent.

Great feel off all clubs including the putter, very forgiving on off-center hits and it flies and it holds - an excellent ball! A keeper for sure! Can't wait to see it go into full production and made available. Congratulations, Titleist!

I played the past Saturday with a yellow test Titleist. I normally play NXTs. The test ball went a little farther off the tee. Very consistent distance control with iron shots. A little tough determining the actual distance since I am just getting used to a new set of 718 AP2s. I prefer a white ball. The only negative comment I have.

Played part of a round with the test ball this weekend and the ball felt good off the face. A little softer off the putter than my usual NXT. definitely a little longer on the Irons. Usual spin for me. Will be playing at least one more round this week if weather permits.
  7. I received my test sleeve last week and after two comparison rounds with the test prototype and the NXT soft I'm very impressed. The test ball was much softer than the NXT soft and stopped on the green the same if not better than the ProV1. outside temperatures were 60*-65* and would really like to compare the prototype with the ProV1. I usually hit the ProV1 at temps above 70* and the NXT soft at temps below 70*. Distance off of the tee was 2-4 yards farther in side by side comparison shots with the NXT, The soft feel off of the tee and the putter plus the excellent stopping power on the greens is what I was impressed with. I'd like to find out what the "test" ball is going to be called when and if its introduced because I want to play it fulltime.

This is the second time in a row I've received the survey, but not the golf balls. I did receive a sleeve prior to these last two surveys. I verified my address in my account is correct but still no test golf balls. Is there someone I can contact or should I assume they get lost in the mail?
  9. Got my box today. Might be kinda hard for me to get a true feel of the golf ball considering I live in the Northeast and the temperature hasn't been above 50 the last couple days, nor does it look promising for the next few weeks ahead. HOWEVER, I will go and try them on the putting green
  10. Played the prototype ball today. Shot 6 over with the ball. I felt it had a plastic feel to it. I didn't like it when I putted or chipped with it. I couldn't feel the ball coming off the face of the club. It felt pretty similar to the NXT Tour S. I didn't notice any additional distance off the driver or any other clubs

Got a sleeve of prototype balls test went well, if the ball goes to market I would like some feedback from Titleist that this was a tested ball ie in (2017) I would definitely purchase this ball. My test conditions were probably the worst you could get wet, cold, damp raining on both test sessions and yet the ball performed very well compared to the ball I usually play. (see my survey) for results. Thanks again!
  12. Thank you so much Titleist for the balls! Unfortunately it has been very cold so I do not see much of an impact compared to the ProV1. I look forward to playing them in warmer weather!

I REALLY like these balls. I’ve played two days with them and there great! Where can I get more?
  14. Played a round today with the proto ball. Driver (Epic SZ) was straight and long, about the same as my gamer. Off my irons (716 CB) the ball flew very straight/I wasn't able to work my draw or fade as much. Around the greens it was ok, a little check but not as much as I'm used to. On the greens it felt great off the putter (Evnroll). I shot a 78 (+6) Not bad for never playing the ball before.

My only negative was it lacked the control I like to have.

My gamer is the Bridgestone B330rxs.
  15. Played today with them and was very surprised by the high ball flight. Not a whole lot of spin, but extraordinary distance and softness of the golf ball. The wind did effect the ball a little more because of the high ball flight, but not too bad.

I usually play pro v1, in my opinion the test ball out performs the pro v1 in feel, spin, distance and workability. I would definitely purchase this ball if it goes into production. Can't wait!

I played two rounds with the new ball and I think it is a little longer off the tee than the nxt tour s which is my go to ball. The prototype ball is softer and actually quieter coming off the face of the putter. However I dont think it would be worth a dollar more per ball if that is the case. I do like the ball.
  18. Very nice ball. About the same distance off the tee but much straighter ball flight. Actually spun some iron shots. Would love to purchase some when they go to market. Nice job Titleist.

Played with white prototype. This ball feels soft, sticks the green with my short irons, seems to spring off the face, 5-8 yards longer, rolls really well on the putting green.

I received my sleeve of balls last week. Played 4 rounds with them. I currently play the NXT Tour S and sometimes the ProV1 and NXT Tour. To me, this ball is great with the wedges and short irons. Good spin and ball control. It has a very good feel off the putter. I did not notice any difference in distance and control with the driver, fairway woods and hybrids. It did seems to go further with the short irons. I noticed no difference with other clubs.
