My Golf Goals for 2016:
Adam EschPhoenix
I've read through all the post and everyone has great goals. I used to play a lot of competitive golf and had a great short game and great putter. I currently have an average of 1.71 putts per hole. Incredible! How did it get so bad? - Pulling up to the golf course hitting a small bucket of balls and not putting, then to first tee. My Goal, will be to practice putting and lower my putts per hole to around 1.6 per hole.
Thanks-
Adam

1. Dial in my 180-205 range
2. Get a Hardcore Refit from TOP to BOTTOM
3. Clearly play more, but spend more time working on focused Range work
4. Core and Flexibility daily workout routine (put together and dialed in my pre-game routine in 2015... AMAZING HOW IT GETS YOU SET IN MIND AND BODY TO PLAY!!!)
5. LOCK DOWN MY PRE-SHOT SET UP
6. Keep banging home the 6fts

Great post for the New Year and fantastic goals for all!
I have three for myself:
1 - Become a better ball striker
2 - Increase my flexibility and overall fitness
3 - Begin competing in Amateur tourneys regularly
I took a long time off from playing in my 30's (played maybe once a year). Since picking up the game again in July 2015 and refocusing my efforts, my handicap has dropped from high twenties to a ten. This year I'm shooting for scratch or better.
Happy New Year TT members!

I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts on their golf resolutions for 2016 (yes, I know the topic is Goals). Mine are relatively simple:
--Keep my single digit handicap.
--Improve my up-and-down percentage to at least 50%.
--Achieve an average of <30 putts per round.
--Three-peat as club senior match play champion.

Abby , super question.
I just wanna relax and have more fun. I think better play will come with this.

Great question Abby! I have two primary goals for 2016. First, I need to consistently turn off my cell phone as soon as I reach the course. I've had too many distractions via texts or email from work. Second is to eliminate three putts.
Best of luck to all!

So What are MY golf goals for the new year?
Here are mine, not necessarily in order :
- Play more competitive golf: I need to play in more tournament rounds this year.
- Commitment To Each Shot: This needs to occur on every shot mentally as I work towards a better psychological frameset.
- Travel and Play: I need to be more fluent in playing a variety of courses under tournament conditions as I prepare for Senior Events so I hope to play a variety of different courses and work to score on each!
- Have fun with my family playing more golf: One of the great things about golf is that any age can play, I hope to play more with my wonderful wife and all my kids in 2016!
Wish me luck!

Great topic Abby...and lots of interesting goals. For me, -stay injury free by working on flexibility and cardio training -improve my greenside chipping(or just putt from 30ft off the green) -get my putting average under 30/round -Recruit more players to the world of Team Titleist. -Have a couple large, successful outings here in Houston -Qualify for the Houston City Am Here's to an Awesome 2016!!

I'm already 3 months into my main goal of increasing flexibility and conditioning. Looking for improvements there to minimize nagging injuries that kept me from playing more frequently.
Beyond that I need to:
Get to single digit hdcp and stay there.
Improve my GIR %. (Missing greens puts waaaaay too much pressure on the short game.)
Improve driving accuracy. (Which messes with my GIR%)
The best to all in 2016!

I no longer have time to dedicate keeping my handicap in the single digits. I go to enjoy time with family and friends on the course.
Play more golf with my sons....my oldest loves golf....my youngest is getting interested.

My golf goals in 2016 are:
- to successfully defend my club championship title
- drop my scoring average to a 74 or better
- work on getting the speed of greens right faster on unfamilar courses
- become conference player of the year in my high school conference (NC 4A North Piedmont Conference)
- go to the NC 4A high school state championship and shoot +10 or better on my 2 day total
- have fun and enjoy the time I have playing golf

Great way to focus on goals for this year Abby!
With my full bag of Titleist clubs, my primary goal is to bring my average score down below 80 from the mid 80's where I am now.
Started playing at age 59, and i'm now 68. Played 80 courses in 10 states from my home state of Texas to Arizona, California, Oregon, Colorado and New Hampshire where my daughter lives as well as several other states. My secondary goal is to play on even more beautiful courses around the USA, just to enjoy being on incredible manicured grounds with equally incredible views.

Jason KSacramento, CA

- have fun. always.
