Play more golf.
Get better at all parts of the game.

More golf, more fun, better attitude. I got my handicap down to a -4 and change last year but ended at -6 and change. I'd like to be more consistent and end the year at 5 or less. I played decent in tourneys last year and would like to keep that going.

My 2016 goals:
Matthew COceanside, CA
Here are my golf goals for 2016:
- Consistency (warm up before round, pre-shot) I have never had a "set" pre shot routine.
- Practice more: I tend to play more than I practice and hopefully this year I can change that.
- Break par: I have been close several times but there is always those few shots that make it impossible.
- Play more diverse courses

My goal is to continue to play courses on my bucket list of 100, the plan so far is to play five courses by June. To play more golf aka play once a week at least. To improve short game and score. To get my clubs regripoed and to enjoy the game as I always have.

Great post. Not only do golfers need goals for 2016, they need a plan. As a professor of strategic planning and an avid golfer, I think golfers need a practice plan, an improvement plan, a playing plan, a golf budget for 2016, and for those amateurs who want to play in tournaments, a tournament plan with goals for scores in each tournament.

My goals for the coming year are pretty simple. 1) As a lefty, Take left side of course out of play, and 2) work on accuracy from 125-150 yds. Obviously playing more and practicing with a purpose, not just going to the range and hitting balls.
Have a great year Abby, and hope you reach your goals!!!
