i really liked the AVX. It not only felt softer, but lighter off the face. Yet, I still felt it compress against the face. Higher arc / trajectory than ProV1. Distance was exceptional.
  2. First and foremost is the soft feel but, second, they are LONG. With my old driver, I was hitting ProV1s anywhere from 210-250; The AVXs were consistently 10-20 yards further down the fairway. I put some of that to having stiff shafts in the driver when I needed either regular or senior flexes. My new driver has the Tensei Red 50 shaft in it. Hitting ProV1s, 220-270. Hitting the AVXs...250-290! For someone who's coming back to the game after a 10-year hiatus, I'm impressed. I'm sure the driver has something to do with the distance but the ball has to be part of the equation, too.

Certainly hoping they hit the market soon as it's costing a fortune in shipping to get my friends in FL to keep me supplied.

I have been using ProV1 for a few years and after using a sleeve of the AVX I gained 10 yards with my irons. It has enough stopping power on the greens and I would change if it came out with a lower price than the ProV models.

nice to have an optic yellow 'tour' ball.
Tested during a fall scramble (along w/ the "Test" ball). Fourth hole, a par-3: AVX and a 9-iron to 3 feet! :)

The soft feel is amazing! It really complements all of its other characteristics like longer, great control around the greens, and a little lower ball flight to which were awesome to play under the wind.
  7. I voted “other” because I don’t notice any longer IRON shot distance but AVX is definitely longer off my driver. I am driving it one full club closer to the green than I did all those years with ProV1x.

I do dig the yellow color but we could only choose one item as what we like best! I also think AVX is less affected by wind than most balls.

Simplified offer in an already crowded ionomer cover balls makes plain sens. Played NXT tour in casual rounds, Tour S and DT TrueSoft felt just the same at my level anyway. I’ll see how AVX pull the mandate. I’m open minded.

Bought a dozen in November. Loving in the North I have been able to play to try them.

Actually, I could have voted for any of the choices, with my other being plays well in the wind. Like the feel of this ball. Please put into the lineup!

Not the ball for me. Doesn't spin and stop as well as the ProV1 for my swing speed. It will be a great option for slower swing speeds being a low compression ball.

Nothing beats the ProV1 for me.

Seemed that my distance on both irons and driver improved. Love the soft feel on all my clubs, especially the putter. Saw them at PGA National in Florida and decided to get 2 dozen.

Posted here a couple days ago, but it never showed up, so I'll try again.

Picked up a dozen AVX in November while in Florida and a couple dozen more in February when I was back in Florida for a few days. Never played them in Florida though. Only tried them in Maryland over the winter in cooler temps. Love the ball overall. My new favorite. Been playing V1 for years. I get better results across the board with AVX, with the exception of greenside control. It's not better than V1, but I don't see it being any worse around the greens either. At least not for my game. The high optic yellow has been great in the washed out winter landscapes, but I’ll play the traditional white color once the season gets into full swing.

My driver distance is definitely longer with this ball. I feel like it's about 5-10 yards longer. Hard to say for certain, but I always seem to get more distance out of it than it felt like I did off the driver when I hit it. Irons seem to be longer too, by a few yards. Wedge spin on full shots stop on the green similar to my V1s, often spinning back or stopping dead. Good check on chips, chipitches and pitchips. Flight is usually lower off the driver, which has helped a lot on windy winter days. My confidence when playing this ball has increased. With a (presently) 7.2 index, at over 60 years old, and a driver swingspeed of 93-97 mph, I feel this ball fits me perfectly. I still have 6 dozen customized/personalized Pro V1s sitting in my locker at the club and fully intend to continue playing them too, at least until I know for sure that the AVX will actually be put into the line up for good.

Only negative I can say is that the price point seems a bit high for a ball that has not proven itself yet on the PGA or LPGA Tours. Pro V1 earned its lofty image and matching price. AVX should be a few bucks less in my opinion, since, at this point anyway, the only proof that it is a great ball is that a very limited number of handicap golfers who have played it, tend to really like it. I'm sure some Tour pros have tried the AVX out by now. Would love to hear their thoughts about it.
  14. I like everything about it. I seem to get more distance off the tee with more accuracy versus the the ProV1s and I like the feel around the greens. I'm very happy playing this ball. I also like the optic yellow; for me it is easier to see.

Have played 2 rounds with the AVX. See no pluses to AVX versus Pro V1x. Have rotated rounds with AVX, Pro V1, and Pro V1x. Keep coming back to Pro V1x. I may be missing something, but like Pro V1X enough that I just placed an order for 4 doz Pro V1x via the 4 for 3 Deal. Think the AVX is overpriced. It does not deserve the price point of the Pro V’s. (Even tho the Pro V’s are now over a year old in design). Price the AVX between Pro V’s and Tour Soft; you then have a winner.

I got to play 2 rounds here in Colorado over the last month. Cooler temps. The ball is awesome!!! At 66, my club head speed isn't what it used to be but the AVX seemed to give me a little more distance in the irons and driver.
I just got fitted and received my new AP2 718 irons and the ball feels wonderful!!! Tomorrow will be my first full round with both in warmer weather. I can't wait! I'm sure that Titleist has done it again! Great products!!

I live here in Florida, and have seen the new AVX’s at all my local courses. This morning I said “why not?”, and ventured away from the Pro V1x for a round. I found the ball to be about TEN YARDS LONGER! I’m not sure I like it enough to change (if it ain’t broke, don but break it)but I would definitely recommend to someone who likes the Pro V1, but wants a little more distance. It’s almost like a mix between the Velocity and the Pro V1.
